Evolution

Winter 2002

Being a victim of child molestation, I did not fully explore my sexuality until later in life. At the age of 26, I overcame the shame of my abuse, and my desires. I found empowerment in the knowledge that what I looked like was not as important in the hunt for flesh as the confidence to be vulnerable; open to explore and enjoy the sensual and the erotic.

This body of work evolved from that period; an evolution from victim to survivor; from shamed to proud. Sexuality and female empowerment has become a regular theme in my work. This body of work triggered a series of art videos based on that theme, and can be viewed on Youtube. (See youtube photo-links above.)
